3D Flyer Unity Game

This 3D flyer game was developed as an interaction for physiotherapy patients who are required to do back exercises for rehabilitation. It was necessary to encourage the patient to bend the back along two axes and for the range to be customisable by the clinician. The input given was a pair of accelerometers that stick directly to the patient's back with medical adhesive.

We chose to develop a flyer game based on the requirements using Unity3D. The user controls a hang-gliding caterpillar and tries to collect various objects hanging in the air. All 3D and terrains were modelled specifically for the game. The game is fully configurable by the clinician so the placement of "pick ups" is suitable for the range of movement the patient is required to move through.
